Zephyr, the tiny dragonfly with a heart of gold, is the soul of this group of very diverse
and entertaining residents of the pond. Izzy, a blue heron, flies with Zephyr on her back
because her wings are too delicate to go very far. O’Rourke, the sometimes majestic,
sometimes silly bullfrog is her best friend. Baracus, the conniving eel, conspires to
become leader of the pond, and learns that good always overcomes evil. The beautiful
Amelia, Queen of the Butterfly Forest, comes to Zephyr’s rescue in her time of need.
And Zeek, the dragonfly from the wrong side of the pond learns the meaning of
affection and caring as his feelings for Zephyr become clear. When Zephyr is lost in a
storm, everyone at the pond discovers their courage and they celebrate her safe return
with music that will stay with the audience for a very long time.
