Pisani is a professional pianist/performer, composer/arranger, as well as a piano teacher and voice coach. Former Music Director for World Yacht Entertainment, NYC from 1984-I994. Musical Advisor for Melina Kanakaredes (star of NBC's "Providence" and "CSI-Miami") A semi-finalist, with the musician and singer, T-Bone, on Star Search. The CD, "Don't Look Back", includes three songs co-written with Jeff "T-Bone" Gerard. He has composed songs that have been published and released on several R&B and Latin crossover CD's. He has also written and composed an original children's musical with lyricist, Nina Murano called "Zephyr's Pond". Mr. Pisani has performed for countless private and corporate events as a piano soloist and band leader in major hotels and venues in New York City, Atlantic City, across the county and abroad over the past twenty years. He has been the back-up keyboardist and/or opening act for Natalie Cole, Huey Louis, The Temptations, The Spinners, The Drifters, The Tokens, The Shirelles, Little Anthony, The Dixie Cups, and Martha Reeves. Musical Director and writer/composer for all the music for two Latin crossover acts including national renowned flamenco artist Marija Temo, opening up for William Cepeda and La India on a major Latin festival in New York. He has played in Rhythm Sections throughout his 25-year career with renowned jazz and Latin musicians and contemporaries such as Kim Plainfleld, Emandin Rivera, Victor Jones, John Hart, Mitch Stein,Ray Shinnery, Lee Nadel, Sal Giorgiani, Jeff Rupert, Doug Munro, Carl Lal ham, Brian Dunne, Steve Jankowski, Greg Jones, and Lincoln Schleifer. Performing with the actress/singer, Laura Theodore, they were the opening act for Alan King, Robert Klein and David Brenner. A prolific composer, his work has been performed and published on television and radio ( a writer/member of ASCAP since 1977) with credits including underscoring a diversity of commercials: BASF; Sunoco-Ultra '94; Pizza Hut; Solgar Vitamins; Proctor Silex; Boonesfarm Wines; Westchester Broadway Theatre; Lutheran Relief Fund; Catholic Charities, and ABC Sports and wrote for advertising agencies such as: Wells, Rich, Greene, BBDO, William Esty Co., Geer Dubois, Inc., Griffin Bacal and the production house Liberty Studios, as well as music for Cinemax and HBO's "The Movie Trivia Show". Composer of the Latin dance piece, "La Noche en la Isla" which premiered in 1998 at SUNY Purchase and by invitation was reprised in 1999 with the dance troupe " Off Center Dance Co.", appearing at Westchester Broadway Theatre with the Master of Ceremonies, Chevy Chase to benefit "Gilda 's Club". |
